Part III--Offences relating to the administration of
justice 31 Interpretation
In this Part, unless the contrary intention appears:
holder of a judicial office means the holder of a
judicial office under the Commonwealth, or the holder of a
judicial office acting in the exercise of federal
jurisdiction, and includes an arbitrator or umpire under
any law of the Commonwealth or of a Territory.
judicial proceeding means a proceeding in or
before a federal court, court exercising federal
jurisdiction or court of a Territory, and includes a
proceeding before a body or person acting under the law of
the Commonwealth, or of a Territory, in which evidence may
be taken on oath.
