CRIMES ACT 1914 SECT 3ZP
3ZP Identification procedures where there is more than one
suspect
If:
- (a)
- a constable is attempting to ascertain:
- (i)
- which of 2 or more suspects committed an offence;
or
- (ii)
- the identities of 2 or more suspects who may have
been jointly involved in an offence; and
- (b)
- for that purpose, the constable intends to conduct
an identification parade or to identify a person by
showing a photograph or a picture of a suspect to a
person;
the constable must undertake a separate identification
process for each of the suspects.
