Session 1 (on-campus at Goulburn)

The following subjects are studied full-time on campus at the Police Academy.

• JST100 Physical Skills & Operational Safety (Start)
• JST111 Ethical Dimensions of the Police Role
• JST112 Communication in Policing 1
• JST113 The Criminal Justice System & the Police Role
• JST115 Policing and Public Order

Session 2 (distance education, plus two six -week field placements)

You will be required to complete 120 hours of field and police placements near your home, in addition to studying the following subjects by distance education.

• JST121 Police Role in Society
• JST122 Policing as a Profession

Session 3 (on-campus at Goulburn)

Students attend the Police Academy full-time for trimester 3. The following subjects will be studied:

• JST100 Physical Skills & Operational Safety (Finish)
• JST132 Communication in Policing 2
• JST131 Policing Road Safety
• JST130 Society, Law & Procedure
• JST140 Assessment Centre

Session 4, 5 & 6 subjects.
