REPORT IT AND STOP IT

IF YOU ARE NOT REPORTING
CHILD ABUSE YOU MIGHT AS
WELL BE DOING IT

The Blue Bar of the Law

If you know of, or even
suspect someone is sexually
abusing a child, no matter
who, you should report it

If you are a doctor, teacher,
principal, school counsellor or
early childhood teacher in a
school, you are required by law
to report the suspected child
abuse to the Department of
Community Services or to the
NSW Police Service.

Children need special
protection by the law
because they usually do
not have the means to
help themselves.

All adults have a responsibility
to protect children.......

By distributing this information
flyer, to mandatory notifiers
and their associates, we
are reminding adults of their
obligation to youth in Australia.

Bringing abused children
to the notice of Authorities
is the first step in preventing
further abuse and attempting
to deal with the underlying
causes which give rise to
the abuse

By taking positive action,
you may be helping break
the cycle of abuse, which
often continues to the
next generation.

REPORT
IT AND
STOP IT.

For every abuser prosecuted
of the crime of child abuse,
a victim is protected from
further mistreatments.

Help us put a stop to
child abuse. Your call will make
a difference.
